Membership Eligibility
LACRA Membership is open to a specific group of professionals currently active in marketing commercial office, industrial, multifamily, life science, medical and studio real estate. LACRA membership is not available to vendors or associated businesses related to the commercial real estate industry. LACRA has two classes of members, “Executive Member” and “Member”. Following are the requirements for becoming a LACRA “Member”:
(1) MEMBER - $250 Annual Dues
Employed by an organization which has an Executive Member. A member of LACRA employed by an organization which has an Executive Member must:
- have maintained for at least the two (2) years immediately preceding application for membership an excellent reputation in the commercial real estate business either as an employee or principal of a brokerage company or as an employee or principal of an owner or developer of one or more projects totaling at least 500,000 rentable square feet
- be involved on a full-time basis in the development, sale lease or marketing of commercial real estate
- hold a current California real estate license or otherwise demonstrate proficiency in the field be actively involved in pursuing professional development in real estate
- abide by LACRA Bylaws and the Code of Ethics
(2) MEMBER (WITH NO EXECUTIVE REPRESENTATION) - $250 Annual Dues
Member not employed by an organization which has an Executive Member. Eligible to those employed by firms with five (5) or fewer employees. A member of LACRA not employed by an organization which has an Executive Member must:
- have maintained for at least the two (2) years immediately preceding application for membership an excellent reputation in the commercial real estate business either as an employee or principal of a brokerage company or as an employee or principal of an owner or developer of one or more projects totaling at least one hundred thousand (100,000) rentable square feet or three or more commercial buildings
- be involved on a full-time basis in the development, sale, lease or marketing of commercial real estate
- hold a current California real estate license or otherwise demonstrate proficiency in the field
- be actively involved in pursuing professional development in real estate
- abide by LACRA Bylaws and Code of Ethics
